The Toronto Stock Exchange is quite different from the USA markets. It is dominated by a handful of large corporations and has a heavy emphasis on financial stocks and resource commodity type stocks. The market direction for the Toronto Stock Exchange is never the easiest to judge, but just like all indexes, there are clues that can be uncovered which assist in spotting the next trend. While it is true that commodity stocks impact the Toronto Stock Exchange, it is also true that the heavy emphasis on Financial Stocks helps to counter resource stocks. This makes studying and then plotting market direction on the TSX easier and can at times be profitable. There are a number of products that can be used to benefit from trading against the TSX market direction. In coming articles I will cover them off and show how I use various products to enjoy profits from trading with the Toronto Stock Exchange market direction.
Best Performing Index
For market direction, the Toronto Stock Exchange has been among the best performing indexes for 2014. While the S&P continues to wallow back and forth trying to squeeze out more than 2 percent in gains, the Toronto Stock Exchange is up almost 7% for the year. Analysts in general had predicted a 7% gain for all of 2014. Most are now raising their estimates to at least 10%. With a variety of products available to trade the market direction an astute investor should be able to gain 20% this year in trading the TSX Market Direction. I am aiming for returns to match my USA Members market direction portfolio trades.
