As investors who follow my trades know, I have put in place strangles for each quarterly earnings announcements on Alcoa Stock for the past couple of years. Each of these trades has ended with decent profits. My latest trade which ended today earned 41%. My trade last June 8 ended with a 104% return which was one of my best trades using this strategy.
An investor emailed me today following his closing of his Alcoa Stock trade. He had a few questions but I thought his experience may also aid other investors. Some of his email has been edited for readability as English is not his primary language. My edits are in brackets.
Investor Questions:
Teddi, where have (you) been all my life? I tried (many trading) services over the years. I won’t name (them), but (all) cost more and I (made) no money. I was not happy. I found you 3 years (ago) and was (an) on and off reader. Two years (ago) I saw (you) made 50% for 2014. I (decided to) join last December (2014). I guess (I) joined at (the) worst time (because I) made (just) 38% (in 2015). I am joking (kidding) you Teddi. I am not unhappy. (I) never (made) more (than) 8 percent (in a) year. I (am) dancing each day. I’m retired (with) $200M (to) invest and now $75M more thanks (to) you! No site (I) ever joined shared trades like (you). They don’t show end (outcomes) and (never) tell me (to) sell or (use) stop(loss). They don’t help (to) save myself. You saved me 5 (times) last year. I want(ed) also (to say) thanks for (the) Alcoa trades. I (have) followed (you) into (those) trades each time you (did). I used (more) cash (than) you. I closed (today) like you and earned 113%. My trade did better (than you I) think (because) I paid less for (my) calls. I have (some) questions: Any other stocks you (think) I could earn (these) types of cash (returns) like (the) Alcoa (trades)? You (post a) lot of trade ideas often. Do you think (some are) better (than) others? If (you do) could (you) tell (us) which (ones) are better (stronger or safer)? I have (a) hard time (figuring out how) to choose (among) your trades. (There are so) Too many ideas. I have less money to trade (with). Are (you) worried about (another) crash? I can’t lose (my) retire(ment) money. Thanks for all (you) do and for letting (me) retire.
