BCE Stock Moves Up After Hours On Earnings – Trade Ideas for Profiting In 2015

BCE Stock jumped more than 2 percent after hours on its revenue and earnings that topped analysts’ expectations. The stock moved to $60.09 after hours.

BCE reported net revenue of $542 million from $495 million a year earlier. On a per-share basis, net earnings however were flat at 64 cents. Perhaps more importantly the company continues to show that it is besting Rogers Communications, it’s primary rival. Over the last 3 months they signed up another 117,378 postpaid wireless customers. Rogers in their recent report lost 58,000 customers.

As well Bell reported adding another 76,000 customers to Fibe services, 52,000 to their internet base of customers and perhaps somewhat surprisingly, 34,000 new landline customers.

The company announced a 5% dividend increase for 2015.
