Since setting a new high in May YUM Stock has been in a general downtrend. While the long-term trend still looks partly intact, the downturn in YUM Stock started at the same time as news of a possible slowdown in Chinese economic growth hit the media.
Today after the close YUM Brands reports its latest quarterly earnings. These are important not just for the company but to also provide investors with more reliable data on just how slow the Chinese economy actually is. With growth rates quoted anywhere from 5% to 7% this year for China depending on who you read, there could still be plenty of opportunity for companies like YUM Brands to expand and increase revenues and market share.
This article looks at the past 12 months and explains my outlook for the stock, support levels, my last trade from yesterday and what I will be doing on Wednesday following the earnings being released today after 4:00 PM.
