The one minute intraday chart below shows the action that occurred today in the Toronto Stock Exchange. The morning saw the biggest part of the rally which by 10:40 had the TSX almost retaking the 15000 level. From there the market drifted sideways and kept a bias lower.
This has become a normal pattern for almost all the North American markets with early morning action and then sideways patterns into the close.
The TSX managed to close at 14,947.51. This sets the TSX up for move of just slightly more than 50 points to challenge again the 15000 level.
