The outlook for Monday for the Toronto Stock Exchange was for a consolidation of trades and a weak rise in stocks as investors prepare for the rest of the holiday season. Stocks came close in the morning but then gave back all the gains to close down 35.88 points as oil prices slumped dragging most of the energy sector lower, save for Suncor Stock which moved up 2.2 percent on the day.
