Thursday saw the Toronto Stock Exchange move higher from the open but within half an hour the rally was over. From there the TSX fell back, reaching 13,298.32 before it recovered slightly toward the afternoon and then into the close.
Toronto Stock Exchange Falls 13.76 Points
The decline in the TSX was primarily a result of oil’s decline and not as much the European Central Bank outlook for Europe. Banking stocks which have had a terrific run-up also were weak and that combined to keep the TSX weak.
