Understanding Today’s Weakness
The weakness this morning should be expected as the PMI reading from Chicago was below estimates and that is being used as a reason to take profits. We saw this yesterday after the close when looking at the advance and decline stock percentages. They were almost equal which is a signal that profit-taking started yesterday after the Fed cut interest rates. Today we are seeing more investors join in the selling.
