Tonight’s Stock Market Outlook is shortened as I spent time with a number of investors on some trades they were setting up.
The outlook for Wednesday is not all that changed from a technical perspective although the MACD Technical indicator was only slightly negative and another up day would turn it positive. However the closing candlestick on Wednesday is almost always followed by a down day.
If we add in the controversy surrounding the Cohen plea deal and the outcome of Manafort’s trial, Wednesday will be weaker and could easily see a negative close. There is however enough strength to keep the market positive or certainly only slightly negative by the close on Wednesday.
The events from Tuesday will not be enough to break the rally to new highs which might be slowed on Wednesday but should continue by week’s end.
