Thursday saw the biggest drop in the markets this year. At some point in this rally there had to be a few pullbacks and Thursday saw a pullback following the strongest single up day of 2017.
So now we have seen the biggest up day this year and the biggest down day. The down day was not huge by any standard and with indexes up quite high, the actual point numbers lost is not large in a percentage basis.
The technical indicators after the close on Thursday did flash a number of signals for investors. Some of these signals tie into my various strategies for profiting. Therefore the stock market outlook for Friday Mar 3 2017 is a Special Commentary for members.
S&P Index Close
The S&P index ended the day down 14.04 points to close at 2381.92
Dow Jones Index Close
The Dow Jones ended the day down 112.58 points to close at 21,002.97
NASDAQ Index Close
The NASDAQ closed down 42.81 points ending the day at 5,861.22
Support Levels To Be Aware Of:
The market has light support at the 2300 and the 2250 level. There is also light support at 2195 but better support is at 2180 and then 2150.
