With the interest rate increase today by the Federal Reserve finally out of the way, the market moved higher in a “relief” rally. The question will soon turn to when or if there will be another increase and how soon. Could it be in March? That will shortly be the new worry about the Fed as policy makers projected a US interest rate of 1.375% nu the end of 2016 while the rest of the developed world is nearing zero.
For now though the next problem will probably be back to the falling oil prices. On Wednesday, oil gave back recent gains and fell 4.9 percent, closing at $35.52.
