Earlier today I posted the results of the latest Tesla Stock (TSLA) trade. The returns were 86%. The goal is to earn more income from trading Tesla than I am actually using with each trade. In that way when the time comes that a trade or two are not profitable, I will be giving back some of the profits made, but none of my capital which was originally allocated for this trade.

Tesla Stock (TSLA) – Nov 2 expiry
Tesla reports earnings Oct 30. Depending on profits I may close this trade before earnings are announced and open a new trade just before earnings are released. Otherwise I will hold the trade right through earnings.
PUT DEBIT SPREAD
Bought 5 of the $255 put strike for $13.28 and I sold 5 of the $242.50 put strike for $9.15.
This left a cost of $4.13 X 5 = $2065.00 against a spread of $12.50
CALL DEBIT SPREAD
Bought 5 of the $260 call strike for $13.55 and sold 5 of the $272.50 call strike for $8.50
This left a cost of $5.05 X 5 = $2525.00 against a spread of $12.50
Total Commissions = $15.00
Total capital at risk in this trade = $4605.00
Comments:
This trade goes through the earnings release on Oct 30. It could end up similar to the prior trade which would allow me to profit from both the call and put side of this trade.
