For USA Members following the Market Direction Portfolio there were 5 opportunities in the first hour of trading to enter a new market direction portfolio trade. From the emails I received today, it is apparent that a lot of investors got into the next Market Direction Portfolio trade. However one email I received was interesting. Let’s review the email. Parts of the email have been adjusted to make it readable.
Question From An Investor
“Teddi, each time I review your market direction portfolio updates before markets open, I think I am ready to jump in. But when the trading starts I freeze up. The only trades I have gotten into are those where you entered and posted it within maybe 15 minutes. Those trades I have made money in. Why can’t I seem to make my own decision. I have tried paper trading and that works fine. Even when you practically do the trade for us, by telling us before the day starts what you are doing, I can’t seem to “pull the trigger”. From Gun-shy.”
Some Answers
Gun-shy is not alone. Actively trading market direction or even a moving stock can be daunting, especially as a stock moves higher or lower. Investors tend to freeze up and fail to enter at the right moment. When they do finally enter often it is too late or certainly not within the best setup for the trade. To get around this here are 10 Tips for actively trading the Market Direction Portfolio using the UDOW. For the SDOW reverse the tips to the downside.
