One of the easiest trades this year has definitely been the VIX Index Strategy.

With August historically being consistently poor for stocks it would appear to make sense to consider the VIX Index Strategy. With well defined entry and exit points this year, profits have been exceptionally easy to earn. Strong profits and short durations of trades makes risking capital all the easier but while August may seem like a “sure bet” I have found that it pays to be prepared for a trade to fail because sometimes a trade can surprise to the downside, quickly wiping out profits and ballooning losses.

This is the latest discussion and outline of managing my VIX Index Strategy trades during the month of August.
