Earnings were released today and while their profit did rise along with sales, some of the rise was due to an accounting-related tax gain. Sales themselves dropped. showing lower demand for 3M products that are used in hardware items such as cellphones and computers.

3M Company has been struggling for four years to turn around this hardware division and while the CEO Inge Thulin talked up the division today at the release of the latest quarterly earnings, the numbers don’t match his enthusiasm…...the rest of this trade alert and strategy discussion article on 3M Stock is for members.
