The Canadian Stock Market Outlook for Friday was an unknown entity due to the unemployment numbers both in the US and Canada. In the US the number of jobs created was lower than expected. In Canada the unemployment rate stayed at 7.1 percent but 2100 jobs were lost in April.
TSX Composite Index Rises 69.46 Points
The day started with a slight drop of around 10 points and then a move down to 13600. That was the bottom though and investors bought into the TSX Composite Index as Gold and Oil rose in price. The next level reached was 13680 and when it held around 11:00 AM buyers stepped in again and picked up more shares, sending the TSX Composite Index to 13760. This was a rally of 160 points from the early morning low for a gain of 1.1%.
The remainder of the day the TSX Composite Index drifted sideways to close at 13701.47 for a gain of 0.51% on Friday……….the rest of the Canadian Stock Market Outlook for Tomorrow is for members.
