The Canadian Stock Market on Tuesday was largely supported by a huge 24.97% gain in Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Stock which rose $7.37 to $36.88 on the biggest one day gain in its 22 year history. The company reported earnings before the markets opened, that missed expectations. However they also indicated Valeant Pharmaceuticals International would be moving in a new direction. Volume was more than 100 million shares on New York, which was 4 times an average day’s trading. The stock is still down 72% for the year but today’s gain assisted an advance on the TSX Composite Index.
TSX Composite Index Rises 45.61 Points
By the end of the day the TSX Composite Index had rallied 45.61 points to reach 14,801.23, the highest level in more than a year………………..the rest of the Canadian Stock Market Outlook for Tomorrow is for members.
