The outlook for the Canadian Stock Market for Friday was for the TSX to be weak in the morning but close positive on the day.
TSX Composite Index Falls 52,98 Points
Instead the TSX Composite Index dipped at the start of trading on Friday but held above 14400 easily until into the early afternoon. At that point sellers took the upper hand and pushed the index lower breaking through 14400 for a brief period before buyers returned. They rallied the TSX into the end of the day to close back above 14400. The close saw a decline of 0.37% to 14,450.69 and well within range of retaking 14500.
