On Mon Sep 11 2017 the TSX Composite Index finally rebounded after 5 straight losing sessions that saw the index drop over 200 points and end below 15,000.
Financials, which have been hammered over the past several weeks, bounced slightly on Monday but moved up enough to get investors interested in doing some buying among the carnage of bank stocks.
By the close on Monday, the TSX Composite Index was back above 15,000 and enjoyed a rally of 55 points to close at 15,040.
