About 35 minutes to the Fed announcement on the decision on interest rates at 2:00 PM. It’s obvious the rates will rise but the time line is important.
I still expect the SPX to rise before the announcement at 2:00 PM. I’m watching for a moment to buy calls.
After the announcement though, we could see a drop which is common. It’s hard to grab SPY puts in the drop as it is often swift. Instead I tend to buy the SPY puts as the SPX rises toward 2:00 PM.
