NVIDIA Stock (NVDA) is one trade I do not want to miss so I am setting it up today. NVIDIA Stock (NVDA) reports earnings on Thursday Aug 10 after the markets close. Therefore the bigger move in the stock should happen on Friday. After hours on Thursday will give us some idea as to what we should expect for Friday.
NVIDIA Stock (NVDA) Trade Is Not Cheap
This is not an inexpensive trade and it is still speculative in nature. NVIDIA is pushing constantly into new 52 week highs and a lot of investors, both big and small are holding shares. This makes this type of trade expensive to setup and losses could result.
Two Trades To Include Smaller Portfolios
I have shown two trades. The first is the trade I entered. The second is a trade for smaller portfolios or for those investors who would rather not commit as much capital but still want to try the trade. I cannot emphasize enough that paper trading a strategy until an investor is comfortable with it and consistently entertaining profits, should always be done.
Stay Within Your Comfort Zone
Remember to pick and choose those stocks that you are more comfortable with. Not all trades have to be entered. Always understand your own comfort level and how much risk you want to take.
The key thing about the Trade Ahead Of Earnings Strategy is the total amount risked is small and it is capped, so losses cannot be larger than the capital originally risked in each trade.
