The past week on the Toronto Stock Exchange saw the index open Monday at 13,556 and close the week at 13,075. This was a drop of 481 points for a loss of 3.54% on the week. This also leaves the TSX on the verge of breaking through 13000.
The TSX Index is in full retreat but unfortunately all the reasons for the decline in the TSX are not in the hands of Canada. They are a result of many factors, from the rise of the US dollar to the decline in demand for commodities from Asia and China in particular.
