Last week was a pivotal week for stocks. My outlook in last week’s The Week Ahead was for stocks to rebound from an oversold condition. I was expecting a fairly strong rebound, which we got. You can review last week’s The Week Ahead through this link.
It ended up being one of the better weeks for stocks with a gain on the week from Monday’s open to Friday’s close of 67 points for the S&P. This is a gain of 3.3%. Friday was a bit disappointing though as stocks reached the 2097 level and then closed back down at 2082.82. Selling pressure continues to keep stocks away from the 2100 level.
