Carl Icahn has made me a lot of money. I should send him a thank you card. Last year I did very well on Clorox stock and this year I did well on Apple Stock and now thanks to his move into Family Dollar Stores I will have another great trade.
FDO Stock Bought May 15
As regular readers know, I bought shares on May 15 for $56.15 using the Home On The Range Strategy. Mr. Icahn’s timing could not have been better for me. I am still holding those shares as the chart pattern continues to show more upside in the stock. With Mr. Icahn’s notice, I may hold the shares a little longer. Too bad I had not bought more than 500. I have received a lot of emails this weekend from investors thanking me for the article back on May 13. I was surprised at how many members bought shares but one member, Rene stands out as he bought 4000 shares for $56.20. Now that is a tidy sum of money! In his email Rene now advises he will be using a schedule strategy similar to what I use for the Apple Stock Put Selling to protect his profit against a pull-back. He plans to hold on and see how far Icahn can push FDO stock.
Monday promises to be an exciting day for FDO stock and I have three trade ideas all laid out.
