Statistical Week – Investing Strategy Notes And Trade Ideas for The Week Ahead – Second Week Of Dec 2015

Dec 6, 2015 | Investing Strategy Notes, Stock Market Outlook - The Week Ahead, Trade Alerts and Ideas

Last week saw stocks break through 2100 on Wednesday only to collapsing deeply on Thursday breaking 2050, a level the S&P has not been at since Nov 17. That led to a rally on Friday which recovered almost all the losses. It was quite a week with the European Central Bank extending their bond buying program into early 2017 but not at levels most were expecting. A shooting on Thursday in California aided to investor nervousness. Friday saw nonfarm payroll numbers that pointed to the probability of the Federal Reserve raising interest rates in December for the first time since they were reduced to zero.
