It was just a week ago that I was selling options for income in Apple Stock. With the trade over as the put options were bought and closed for a few pennies, there is still time for another trade before earnings are released on Oct 30.

Selling Options For Consistent Income

Over the past 8 years, selling options for income in Apple Stock (AAPL) has provided a consistent and steady income stream for my portfolio as well as for paying day-to-day bills.

The stock is continuing to flirt with higher valuations as more analysts have jumped on the “Buy Apple Stock band wagon”.  Of the 55 analysts who are posting their outlook for the stock only 2 have the stock as underperform and 14 have the stock as a strong buy.

For the year you can clearly see the push higher in the stock. Since the break out on Sep 6 the stock is showing few signs of dipping back to retest the $210 valuation which contained the stock’s rise back in May and June. Volume remains steady although looking at the chart you can see that most investors are in the stock below $200 with a large number of investors holding shares between $140 to $160.
