The last two days of last week investors did a lot of technical damage to the markets. Losses were large with the collapse of stocks on Friday marking the worst day in 4 years for stocks. Last week was the worst week since 2011 for stocks. The Dow Jones plunged to 16,459.75 down 530.94 for a loss of 3.12%. The S&P broke through support levels to end at 1970.89 down 64.84 points for a loss of 3.19%. The NASDAQ collapsed 171.45 points for a loss of 3.52% to close at 4706.04.
Dow Index – Correction
The collapse in the Dow places it down 10% since the all-time highs it made in July. This officially places the Dow in correction territory.
Apple Stock – Bear
Apple Stock collapsed to $105.76 for a drop of 6.12%. While still not at its 52 week low of $95.18, Apple is sitting in bear market territory down over 21% from its 52 week high of $134.54.
Disney Stock
Disney Stock actually had a pretty decent day on Friday. It opened on the lows of the day and then climbed. It turned positive twice during the day and closed at $98.84 down $1.18. This could be setting the stock up to try to make a bottom. ……… the rest of this article is for USA Members.
