Pivotal Week – Investing Strategy Notes And 4 Trade Ideas for The Week Ahead – Third Week of Nov 2015

Nov 15, 2015 | Investing Strategy Notes, Stock Market Outlook - The Week Ahead, Trade Alerts and Ideas

Obviously it was a poor week for stocks. On Monday Nov 9 the SPX open at 2096.56 after almost closing above 2100 on the Friday before. The inability of stocks to recover the 2100 on the prior Friday was the warning signal a lot of investors missed. By this past Friday, Nov 13, stocks closed at 2023.04 down 73.52 points on the week for a decline of 3.5%.

It was one of the poorer weeks on record for stocks and left a chart pattern that is familiar this year, an advance to 2100 and then an inability to hold that level. All kinds of reasons have been bantered about for the decline this week but the inability of the market to hold 2100 has become so common in 2015 that buying spy put options at 2100 has resulted in huge gains for the Spy Put Hedge portfolio this year. Once more this week provided the same types of return.

The outlook back on Nov 2 when I wrote The Week Ahead For The First Week Of November was for weakness. The resulting purchase of Spy Put Options, SDOW and SQQQ UltraPro Short ETFs has created fat profits for the month of November.

Here is what I am expecting for the Third Week of November…… the rest of The Week Ahead article is for FullyInformed Members.
