My apologies for not posting more articles after this morning’s Microsoft trades. A large storm has been rolling through and I lost power early morning and my backups ran out of power. I have power back on now and will try to post a few more of the trades done today. It is still storming heavily.
United Health Group Stock (UNH)
One stock that has done incredibly well in my portfolio for the past several years is United Health Group Stock (UNH).
UNH reported excellent earnings yesterday coming in at $3.60 a share versus $3.45 estimated versus $3.14 last year fro the same quarter. Revenue was a staggering $60.6 billion, up from $56.1 billion last year for the second quarter. These are huge gains and should propel the stock higher but yesterday and today investors are taking profits. Today the stock is below $257 and I setup another trade.
Sold 5 put contracts for Aug 2 expiry at the $247.50 put strike for an average of $0.97.
Sold 5 put contracts for Aug 9 expiry at the $240 put strike for an average of $0.664
I will turn both of these into credit put spreads next week when I expect the stock to pop a bit higher once sellers are done later today.
