Tuesday was basically a wait and see day, as investors prepared for the Fed’s decision on interest rates due on at 2:00 PM EST on Sep 18. The higher close of the index on Tuesday wiped out the loss from Monday. This leaves the index neutral ahead of the Fed’s decision on interest rates.
