Closing Comments Thu Apr 27 17 Stocks markets tried to push higher during the day but investors were content to sit and wait for the earnings results from mega-stocks Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet and Intel which came after the close.
Most of the day the indexes spent in and out of negative and positive territory but mainly unchanged on the day. The NASDAQ moved higher however and made another new high at 6050.71 before closing at 6048.94.
