Here we are once again watching stocks slide and fall back through 1990. The see-saw action that has developed does though have one thing developing. A pattern of lower lows is developing as today we broke through Wednesday’s low. We are now starting to trade at levels seen August 20.

SPX 5 Day 15 Minute Chart

While the market direction is see-sawing, you can notice that we are not climbing back higher each time but are drifting slowly lower.

Overall the charts are not particularly encouraging but neither are they overly worrisome.
