25% Return In Tomorrow’s Trade Portfolio To End of May 2017

Sep 16, 2017 | Tomorrows Trade Portfolio, Trade Alerts and Ideas

I am continuing to update the various Portfolios and the Tomorrow’s Trade Portfolio is now updated to the end of May. The portfolio was sporting a gain just over 25% by May 31.

May Was Terrific

May was a terrific month for the Tomorrow’s Trade Portfolio. Total earnings were $18,959.00. This is a gain of 7.5% for the month on its own and to the end of May 2017, the portfolio was up 25.23%.

Goal Was 30% Annual Return

The overall goal of the portfolio is a gain of 30% for 2017. At the rate this portfolio is growing, it should come closer to 50% or maybe even a 60% return!

Tips For Smaller Portfolios

The Tomorrow’s Trade Portfolio is based on starting capital of $250,000. For May there are a number of tips for investors who have much smaller portfolios to investor with, or for those investors who wish to trade with a smaller amount of capital.

Review Trades

There are a number of trades worth reviewing for May. Aside from the regular trades entered, there are 7 trades that really stand-out for review. For May I focused primarily on selling put options, but there were some covered call trades worth studying and a number of Bollinger Bands Strategy Trades also were entered.

Only one trade was in any kind of jeopardy in May and as I really like the stock, there was never a moment of concern. That trade was the final trade on May 31 and it ended beautifully with a terrific rally in the stock which started just a couple of days after shares were assigned.

Grow Capital Slowly

What the Tomorrow’s Trade Portfolio continues to show investors is that spectacular gains can be made through focusing on just a handful of stocks and controlling risk to the capital being used. The idea of the Tomorrow’s Trade Portfolio is to grow capital slowly. Small trades can mushroom into a strong return and a much bigger portfolio without risking capital in a huge number of trades. By the end of May the portfolio that started with $250,000 had earned an additional $63,000 of profits. Those profits can either be removed and reused for other investments or for personal use, or they can be left in the portfolio to expand the size of trades, but not the number of trades, being done.

Couch Potato Investing – Holding A Full-Time Job

I get asked often if there isn’t a way to invest and hold down a full-time job. The Tomorrow’s Trade Portfolio definitely fits that mould. Trades are outlined the night before and investors can simply place their trade orders before the markets open. Then at the close of the day they can check their trades and make adjustments where needed or if not filled during the day. This is one of the styles of investing I used when I was holding down a full-time job and could not sit in front of my trading monitor, throughout the day.

Review May 2017

For members, here are all the trades for the month of May 2017. I hope you will take time out to review at least the 7 trades outlined in the introduction for the month. Reviewing trades and how they were handled is a great way to learn how to become better at profiting from the Tomorrow’s Trade Portfolio.
