    Teddi,

That explains the delay. Thanks for the explanation. The symbols are all there. Nice overall feature!

    hache02,

I posted because the securities are not being updated within about the 24 hours as stated.

    Hi Teddi,

Could you please add UNG, XBI & ZION. They are marked as missing and haven’t been added automatically. Thanks – Mark

    Hi Teddi,

Thank you for taking the time to communicate how to trade this portfolio with less capital. I took a stab at it as you can see, but wasn’t close to the idea.

Also, I’m using the strategy in an account where naked options aren’t allowed. Instead, cash secured can be used. This eats up capital. I was going to hold off on the Naked Puts side of the trade because of this limitation. The strategy uses Naked Puts to possibly accumulate more shares – which translates to more dividend income. How important is that in the grand scheme, other than I won’t get 100% of the possible return intended?

    Hi Teddi,

Is there any chance of viewing the FB Challenge in a table similar to BBT. It makes it much easier to see everything in one place, rather than having to click on individual trade posts. Especially for a long running challenge, such as this one. Hoping to see the same for the Howling Dogs.

    Thanks for considering – Mark

Not sure if I missed these trades or they haven’t happened yet. Any updates?

Interesting time stamp. 145 is there twice and the underlying stock price isn’t. I like knowing the underlying stock price so it can be related to standard deviation. Mark

Looking forward to the trades. Will there also be a portfolio table, akin to BBT’s to look at? Thanks, Mark

Saw the roll-down, but there still seems to be 3 unaccounted long $70 puts. Did you sell more 2/17 $80 puts along with the 3 that were rolled down from 2/10? Also, I can’t seem to get a credit for the roll down. I’m in the same position as you, but with fewer contracts. Thanks – Mark

Thanks for the quick response. I see that more credit put spreads were entered for Feb 10 & 17 and a naked put for March 17. There are still 3 “long” $70 puts out of the original 10 that were bought on the Jan 19th trade that I haven’t been able to reconcile.

    Teddi,

Great new format using a form to describe the stock trades. Will we be seeing this new format going forward with all your other trades? Sure hope so :) Mark

    Forgot to post…

Closed this position on 1/4 – buying the Puts back for $.15. Made goal of at least 50% gain prior to the conference.

    Anyone doing XBI these days?

Largest conference for HealthCare that could yield risk to the BIO sector.

I sold the XBI 1/20/2017 $53 P @.43 back on 12/22 and hoping for a 50% gain prior to the above conference.

Had a suspicion Teddi was looking at SLB and GM.

I’m still working on figuring out conservative entry points for the share purchase. Especially when there are multiple entry points that make the dividend > than the premium (a highly likely stock exercise situation).

I’ve stayed away from Energy except for UNG since June and XLE currently. Was burned bad, sorry for the pun. Companies going bankrupt, and me being in denial. Huge lesson learned.

Takes guts to do this trade 1 day before possible epic OPEC meeting/announcement.

    Good Luck :)

Looking at possible Dec $80(C)/$67.50(P) Strangle and try for at least 50 cents.
One binary event in the mix -> FOMC Dec 13-14.

    Thoughts?

#5 hits the nail on the head for me. I’ve been chugging away at AMZN since June of this year using credit spreads that are a nose lower than 1 Standard Deviation from the underlying stock price. So far, it’s worked. Keeping eyes and fingers crossed. Mark

No indication what strike price or expiration date(s) for the roll down(s) has been given. Pretty sure there were Oct 7 GLD Puts as well in the same position and we’ve not seen roll down instructions. I’ve emailed twice and no response. :(
