With the TSX continuing to move lower, today’s Investing Strategy Notes before the markets open looks at the past 5 years to see if we can unravel what we should expect in coming weeks and months. As well I look at the method I use to continue to generate income for my overall portfolio while also putting in place strategies that can protect my trade from large losses. I use Royal Bank Of Canada Stock and my upcoming trades I hope to place on Tuesday as the examples. I then show how I handled the steep decline in RY Stock in the 2008 to 2009 bear market using the same strategy.
