Color Code System For Trading Canadian Stocks

One of the strategies that works well with some Canadian stocks, particularly commodity type stocks is the Color Code System when it has been adjusted for commodity related stocks. I originally designed this stock and option strategy for big cap dividend paying stocks on the US markets. I have used it for more than two decades with excellent results. Now with the collapse of oil along with many other commodities, I have spent over a year back-testing the color code system for Canadian stocks and have made some adjustments to accommodate the smaller volumes and price swings often found on the Toronto Stock Exchange, particularly with these types of stocks.

The whole concept is to add a better degree of safety when trading. It is meant to advise when to get into a trade and what type of additional strategy to choose along with what valuations to be considering. I will be using the strategy often for Canadian stocks in upcoming trades. One such trade is Suncor Energy Stock, which I will be posting about later today.

For FullyInformed Canada members, here is the Color Code System outline to prepare interested Canadian investors in what will become a regular strategy in use when trading Canadian stocks on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The article is lengthy at 2200 words but lays a solid foundation for understanding how this system functions. Future trades on Canadian stocks will expand on the additional components being used in this strategy.
