It is never enjoyable profiting from the misfortune of others. It is always difficult to make trades and profits when the problem a company faces is not revenue related but as in the case of Walmart Stock, a safety issue as a Bangladesh clothing factory burned down, killing 112 people. This morning the Wall Street Journal connected Walmart Stock to the unfortunate deaths as they reported an inspection conducted last year for the supplier to Walmart found serious fire-safety concerns.
The factory is not owned by Walmart but as a supplier investors are of course concerned and this has impacted the stock by 2%.
I sold the $67.50 and $65 Walmart Stock puts on the decline, for the month of January.
