The Canadian Stock Market on Thursday gave back some of the recent gains but the decline was minor at just 0.22% of a decline. Banking stocks were weak bu7t gold stocks rose more than offsetting the weakness in Canadian Bank Stocks.
Canadian stocks are trading at an average of 22.1 times earnings which is slightly ahead of the S&P which is trading at 19.2 times earnings.
TSX Composite Index Falls 30.09 Points
The TSX Composite Index Chart fell back on Thursday but considering the index reaches 13,963 today before pulling back, a decline was expected. The TSX is very overbought and since April 7 the TSX Composite Index is up 660 points at today’s close.
