Trade Alert – VISA Stock (V) – Enjoying The 4 for 1 Split – March 19 2015

VISA Stock is one of the oldest trades in my online portfolio. I started VISA Stock trades with the IPO in 2007. VISA stock has created terrific returns year after year and now the 4 for 1 stock split promises to just keep that tradition going strong. This is why I tend not to jump around through too many stocks. Instead I tend to find stocks that perform well, meet my criteria for trading and have a longer term trend that suits my strategies and stay with them until the trend changes and does not provide the consistent returns I seek. I then drop the stock to a second watch list. If they continue not to perform well I then retire them from the second watch list and look for another stock.

This is less work than following too many stocks and allows me to get to know the stock over a period of years. This makes it easier over time to spot entry and exit points and know which strategy to apply at what time and which ones to avoid.

Hide and Seek Covered Calls For Long-Term Stock Holdings

Visa has definitely that kind of outlook. My original shares which I picked up in the original IPO and in the bear market crisis were slated to be sold for $300. I sold covered calls since 2008 against my shares using primarily the Hide and Seek Covered Calls strategy which is designed for long-term stock holdings. With the 4 to 1 split I am moving my outlook to a minimum of $100 which would be $400 rather than my original goal of $300.
