The recent rally in Canada’s big banks has run out of steam for the present. Those investors who bought into the banks are obviously bailing now and as the moves today are quite a bit lower, you can see that larger investors are now leaving our banks as well.
Royal Bank Stock Chart To Feb 20 2015
Looking at the chart of Royal Bank of Canada Stock is similar to all the big banks in Canada. The pattern continues to support the belief that the banks are going to move lower here. You can see the distinctive pattern of lower highs which has plagued Royal Bank Stock since the start of December.
The money flow indicator shows that the latest rally ended with a strong overbought condition and now investors are bailing out again.
In general though, Royal Bank Stock is still holding the 20 day simple moving average (SMA) which may be signaling that this move lower will be temporary.
