One stocks I have traded since 2010 is Intel stock. Every year the returns have been double-digit and I have not experienced any loss of capital at any time trading within Intel Stock. That may seem a remarkable feat considering it is 6 years of constant trading, but the primary reason is understanding support levels.

Intel Stock was under pressure today as the NASDAQ pulled back 1.54%.  Intel stock pulled back 1.66%. While the stock could easily move lower, there is a distinct support level which makes trading Intel stock much easier. Yesterday I discussed the importance of understanding how to use support levels for trading in Sun Life Financial Stock which is all the more important when the stock market is drifting sideways and is under increasing pressure. Designing trades around strong support levels can often be the saving of a trade and more importantly, of the capital that has been placed at risk.

Earning income through selling small option premiums for often 25 or 70 cents can be small consolation when a stock collapses leaving behind losses of three or four times what was earned when the option was sold. A pullback in a stock almost always leaves investors shaken and disheartened as they watch their capital decline.

The two trades I did today in Intel Stock are designed with a full understanding of how support can be made to work in favor of my trade allowing me to pump more profits into my portfolio while the stock is pushed lower by investors.
