I had an excellent year in 2015 trading Canadian National Railway Stock on the Toronto Stock Exchange. I have waited for another opportunity to get into more trades in the stock but I wanted to do so below the $72.00 or $70 valuations.
The correction has pressured the stock well below the $70.00 valuation which has allowed me to set up this next round of trades.
Protection First
In any market protection is paramount but in a down market that could easily turn into a bear market, it is key to surviving with my capital intact. This trade is designed to do just that.
By having a detailed plan in place from the start of the trade I am prepared for any eventuality and can trade without being caught in the emotions that often accompany a bear market or collapsing stock. It also means the profit in the trade can not just be protected but can be enlarged upon.
