With the S&P reaching into new highs, my investing strategy notes for the third week of February 2015, look at strategies to consider for staying profitable and protected as markets set new highs. For many investors it is hard to imagine the S&P setting new highs again, especially after January looked so poor. Even the start of February saw many analysts declaring that December would be seen as the end of the great bull market that started in March 2009.

But picking a top in a bull market is a waste of time and energy. Instead the aim should be to continue to profit from stocks through understanding some strategies for trading a break-out such as investors saw on Friday.

The week ahead investing strategy notes for the third week of February include 9 trade ideas which I will be aiming to enter. These trade ideas are presented to demonstrate the method I use to continue to build profits in my portfolio at a time when markets are setting new highs in the indexes.
