Royal Bank of Canada stock trades on both the TSX Composite Index and New York Stock Exchange. I trade it only on the TSX in Canadian dollars as I live in Canada and it makes sense to keep the trade in domestic currency.
Royal Bank Of Canada is the largest bank in Canada in both asset size and revenue. Market cap is at $140.7 billion and revenue us at $24.5 billion. There are 80,000 employees. The bank has no debt worth mentioning. The dividend is $3.32 and the payout ratio is 47.64% which is sustainable for decades to come.
Operating margin 34.63% and profit margin is 27.23%, both of which are excellent and above the banking industry average in Canada. Book value is an impressive $47.85 and cash flow is $7.84. Price to earnings is 13.9 times which is in-line with the rest of the banking sector.
I presented the above bank statistics to give investors some idea as to the strength and stability of this bank. I have traded in it since the mid-1970’s when options were traded over the counter. It has been another core stock in my Canadian portfolio since the mid-1970’s.
