McDonalds Stock this morning broke through the $95.00 support level, briefly before moving back up. The stock shows few of the signs of a solid rally back up at this point. While I have entered into trades today, many investors will want to consider the risk to their capital when looking at the decline in the stock.

The McDonalds Stock chart below for the past one year shows the collapse of the stock which has broken the latest rally in the stock. While I have written a number of articles explaining that above $99.00 the stock is overvalued, the decline today which saw the $95.00 support level tested, shows to what extent investors are concerned. The stock is heavily owned by institutions and pension funds so a drop of this nature has to be drawing their attention. Whether they will buy into the decline at this point though is questionable. In the correction in January the stock reached a low of $92.22 on Feb 5 before commencing the rally which ended in mid-May when the stock reached an intraday high of $103.78.

You can see in the chart above that $95.00 is definitely a strong and long-term support level for McDonalds Stock, but declines can surprise investors to the downside.
