The outlook for Wednesday was for stocks to remain weak but close only slightly lower. Overall the bias remains higher but the strong overbought environment is being worked out. This will mean a second day of the same sideways action as the overbought condition of the market is consolidated.
This evening’s market direction outlook for Thursday Feb 19 2015 is shortened as the evening hours were spent completing the forums for USA members, working to update the Apple Stock Bi-weekly Put Selling trades which should be done by this weekend and preparing to open the Canadian Members private forums.
Changes To Private Members Forums
The private USA members forums now have a full sidebar showing the latest replies and the latest topics. There is also a suggestion feature added to assist members when posting, which advises if a similar topic is available. The forums have also been expanded to have specific forums on individual stocks and ETFs. More will be added in coming days as more topics are posted. If you posted a topic about a stock recently and cannot find it in the Trade Talk Forum, check out the forum, Teddi’s Stocks. It has probably been moved there.
All in all with more than 400 posts in less than 3 weeks since opening, members have emailed me with suggestions, tips and lots of support. One of the tips was for better subscribing to posted topics. That’s been added, so now when members post an article they are automatically set up to receive updates and replies. They can then unsubscribe from their posts and questions whenever they want, but they will not miss replies to their topics and questions.
My Trades Posted First To The Members Forums
I will be posting my trades immediately to the private members forum first and they will show up in the right hand column under “Newest Topics On The Forum”. They will then be posted to my Twitter account and then an email sent to those members who have subscribed to the FullyInformed Newsletter.
Market Direction Outlook for Feb 19 2015
Here is a quick look at today’s market direction action and the outlook for Thursday.
Advance Decline for Feb 18 2015
Volume was almost unchanged on Wednesday from Tuesday with 3.4 billion shares traded. New highs though continued to decline to 134 but new lows were just 11. This shows just how sideways the market was on Wednesday. Up volume was 49% of all shares traded and down volume was 50%. You can have much closer than this for a neutral day.
Market Direction Outlook for Feb 19 2015
Technically the indicators are weaker than they were on Tuesday at the close. In general I am expecting another sideways day with neutral momentum but in general we could see a bit more weakness appear. The market is set for Thursday to try to make a move, but it may need another day to consolidate and work its way out of some of the overbought condition. A close higher on Thursday will signal further gains to come next week. In general though the trend remains to the upside. Tomorrow’s market direction outlook will be back to normal. Enjoy your day on Thursday.
