Historically the next two weeks of August should be better than the first two or so the statistics show us. When you look at the S&P chart since the start of August, the S&P is actually down just 12.95 points. It seems a lot worse considering all the doom and gloom in the media but with Friday’s little jump, the damage done is minimal to the S&P. The Dow is down 219.24 points and the NASDAQ is down 86.10.
