Intel Stock earnings are to be released on January 15 for the latest quarter. This has pushed up option premiums which is part of the reason why I like selling options around earnings announcements. I trade within big cap stocks only and I have enjoyed substantial returns through trading against earnings.
This type of trade is not for everyone but by studying charts and understanding trends as well as being happy to accept shares if assigned, I have enjoyed superior returns at various times through the year. Intel has been one of my favorite stocks for this strategy since 2003. I have been trading it in my online portfolio since 2010.
