Disney Stock (DIS) Trades for 2014 Update

This is the latest trade update for Disney Stock. I have followed Walt Disney Stock for many years and traded on and off in the stock but it was never a regularly traded stock. This year however I am trading Disney Stock regularly due to the uptrend and the chart pattern which is conducive to my methods of Put Selling.

Disney Stock Latest Statistics

The most recent earnings per share from Disney stock was $3.90 which is an increase of 18.5% over last year. Book value of Walt Disney Company is $25.24. Trading presently at 21.2 times price to earnings it is a bit high when compared to some of its peers in the Broadcasting industry. But Walt Disney Company is more than broadcasting as it is a leader in the entertainment industry as well. I am not trading against future prospects for the company. Instead I am trading against the chart pattern which Disney stock has developed. The dividend is $0.86 which is 1.04% making it low among its peers.

Next earnings release is August 5 2014 when estimates place earnings at $1.16 on expected revenue of $12.1 billion. Last year for the same quarter Disney Stock earned $1.03 so analysts may be high in their estimates which is why I am careful with the trades I place around the earnings release.
