When markets are in turmoil and the outlook is cloudy at best, I prefer to turn to stocks that have exhibited strength over the course of many months. VISA stock is definitely one of those stocks. Trades this year in VISA stock have been excellent but when there is the possibility of boosting returns in a way that protects my capital at risk, I like to take it, especially as the year-end starts to approach. This is the type of chart I look for in a stock. Visa has been on a rise for more than 3 years. Since November of 2012 the stock is up 128% and has poured profits into my portfolio year after year.
